Luggage policy
Hand Luggage / Carry-on Luggage
Africa World Airlines (AWA) allows one piece of cabin baggage plus a smaller personal item that must be placed under the seat in front. The combined weight of our carry-on luggage cannot be more than 5 kilograms.
Checked Baggage
Although AWA would allow up to two pieces of checked baggage for Premium and Value passengers, the amount of checked baggaged will depend on the load factor of the plane. The maximum weight for each piece of checked baggaged is 23 kilograms. Please check the weight of your checked baggage to avoid unneccessary extra excess baggage charges.
Check-in
The only way to check-in your next flight with Africa World Airlines is at the airport. Airport check-in opens 2 horas before the flight and closes 40 minutes before your departure time.
Online check-in is not yet available although AWA is working hard to add this service.
Onboard services
Food and drink
The crew of your next flight on an Embraer 145 of Africa World Airlines could offer in some routes, complementary hot drinks, juices and some snacks and sweets. This food and beverage service are not available on all routes.
Africa World Airlines flights do not offer a paid bar service so if you want to have to eat or drink during the flight you could bring your own food and drink if you get permission from the AWA crew.
Onboard entertainment
Because most AWA flights are short haul, there is no on-board entertainment service and you should take your own. A book, magazine, newspaper or something to watch or read on your mobile device may be some of the options. And if you don't feel like it, why not start a pleasant conversation with the person you have sitting next to you?
