Air Serbia: A bit of history
Although the history Air Serbia (IATA:JU & ICAO:ASL) starts in 1927 when Aeroput, the first Serbian company for civil air transport was formed, the history of the current airline started in Otober 2013 when Jat Airways, the previous name of this airline, was reorganized and renamed Air Serbia. The first flight of the new Air Serbia was from Belgrade to Abu Dhabi on 26 October 2013.
Air Serbia is owned by the Goverment of Serbia (51%) and Etihad Airways (49%), although this airline holds the control of the airline.
Air Serbia operates flights to 59 destinations in 32 countries with a fleet of 23 planes with nearly 20 years of age.
