LOT Polish Airlines: A bit of history
The history of LOT Polish Airlines, legally Polskie Linie Lotnicze LOT S.A. (IATA: LO & ICAO: LOT), the flag airline of Poland, began on December 29, 1928 when it was established and continued on January 1, 1929 with the start of operations of this airline from Poland. With more than 90 years of history, LOT Polish Airlines is today one of the oldest airlines in the world in operation.
From its operations center at the Warsaw-Frederick Chopin airport, LOT Polish Airlines operates flights to more than 130 destinations in Europe, Asia and North America with a modern fleet of 96 aircraft with an average age of 8.9 years that carry more than 10 million passengers every year with the highest standrds in safety and comfort.
