Cheap Flights with Poste Air Cargo

Mistral Air used to be a passenger airline that now belongs to the Grupo Poste Italiane and since 2018 has only been transporting cargo by air on behalf of TNT Global Express and Poste italiane with jet and turboprop aircraft. Mistral Air changed its name to Poste Air Cargo on 1 October 2019 and operates its cargo flights with jet and turboprop aircraft from its main base of operations at Rome-Fiumicino Airport and its secondary hub at Bologna Airport.

Poste Air Cargo: A bit of history

Founded in 1981 by the actor and former swimmer Bud Spencer, famous for his western films with the great Terence Hill, Mistral Air (IATA:M4 & ICAO:MSA) has been renamed Poste Air Cargo since 1 October 2019 and belongs to the Grupo Poste Italiane since 2002. The airline has been transporting air cargo on behalf of TNT Global Express and Poste italiane with jet and turboprop aircraft since 2018. Poste Air Cargo operates from its main base at Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino airport in Rome and an additional hub at Bologna airport. As a curiosity we can add that Poste Air Cargo has occasionally been contracted by the Vatican to transport pilgrims to holy places such as Lourdes, Fatima, Santiago de Compostela, Medjugorje through Mostar, Israel (Holy Land), Poland and Mexico.
